Adoptee must maintain contact for a minimum of 12 months with the IPR

The IPR receives many enquiries for exotic and native species such as Amazons, Macaws, African Greys, Black Cockatoos, Eclectus, Quakers, Major Mitchell’s etc, the reality is that such species rarely, if ever, become available for adoption.

Adoption candidates are primarily cockatoos (Sulphur crested cockatoos, Galahs, Corellas, Lorikeets, Cockatiels and other Neophema parrots.), as well as a small number of non-native parrots that occasionally become available, such as Indian Ringnecks and Alexandrines.

If you would like to adopt a pet parrot from the IPR please read the attached Pre-Adoption Considerations Information document to continue the adoption process CLICK HERE!
